My coworker and I were doing morning rounds when I noticed a Sandhill Crane with a bunch of Canada Geese. The birds were on the cross-dike where it meets the road on the far side of the dike (along the Patapsco). We drove back to get the camera and informed the 3 birders already on-site, who were all able to get the scope on the bird within a minute's time. I made it about 2/3 of the way back when I saw the bird already in flight, heading east towards Sparrows Point. This was about 10 minutes ago.
