Subject: [MDBirding] Purple Finches @ Wheaton Regional Park today

Hi all,

Well, there were our FOS Purple Finches at the park (near the white house) -- 2 males and a "brownie" -- but otherwise disappointingly slow considering Dave Gersten's report from yesterday. Seems like most of his birds rode the front out of the area. The very cold overcast didn't help either. However still some lingerers and early winter visitors and hope for more tomorrow. Two Ospreys flew over at height heading determinedly south. Some bright male Wood Ducks on the lake. One one Catbird! The seasons turn...
