Subject: [MDBirding] Perryman Park - early start

Hi Everybody:

It was very interesting reading Mark's post and seeing that I missed some
good birds there. I started and finished earlier than Mark (just after 7 AM
until 8:25 AM) and had some nice birds as well. There were several people
walking the circuit with their dogs while I was there. I did a
counterclockwise loop around the circuit and had just the slightest glimpse
of what I thought was a Lincoln's Sparrow but the bird quickly disappeared
on me. About half way around the impoundment I saw a few imm. WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROWS and also had two different WINTER WRENS singing .I returned to my
original possible Lincoln's Sparrow sighting and easily found the bird
feeding in the grasses. Chipping to my right was the first of many Palm
Warblers (Eastern) that I would see throughout the day. There were also 2
more Eastern and 1 Western PALMS in the hedgerow/tree line between the
parking lot and the entrance road. I will post the rest o my day separately.
