Subject: [MDBirding] WB&A Trail (East End)

I walked the short easternmost stretch of the WB&A trail in Bowie this morning (8 til 9:30). Best bird was a blue-headed vireo - no idea if this is particularly notable, but I've never seen one before!

Also new for me were pine siskins, about 20 were moving back and forth between the trees either side of the parking area with a few goldfinches mixed in. I think they were feeding on some kind of tree nut, but I'm not good at tree ID especially in America....

Other highlights were five warbler species (one each of parula, magnolia, black-throated blue (f) and common yellowthroat, and two black-throated green) and a flyover fish crow. Just 4 more days until we're back to the UK.

Happy birding, Chris.
