I was stunned to hear the chap-chap notes of what turned out to be a sedge wren in the grassy field across from my yard this morning. This has been a long time nemesis bird for me and to get such a lifer as a yard bird is more than I could ask for. It was hanging around with about 20 song sparrows and popped up about 20 feet from me offering exceptional photo-pop. Photos on my Flickr site:
