Pat Rose, who lives about 5-6 miles, as the crow flies, from us in St. Mary's County, has had loads of Pine Siskins and several Purple Finches. We were finally blessed to have one Pine Siskin at our feeders briefly yesterday. Ties the highest number for our yard. Hopefully, we'll see more at some point.

I have been reading with envy the many reports of Pine Siskins coming to
peoples yards in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Finally today at lunchtime,
four Siskins dropped by out check out our feeders and purple coneflower seed
heads. Not the numbers some folks have seen, but pretty respectable for
our small suburban yard with little habitat around us.
