The Kent County Bird Club will be heading to the Chesapeake Bay
Environmental Center (Horsehead) in Grasonville and other nearby
locations in western Queen Anne's County on Sunday, 21 October. We will
meet local participants at the Dollar General parking lot in Chestertown
across from the end of Spring St. (and between Maple St - MD-213 and
Philosopher's Terrace) at 8:00 AM. Anyone who wishes to meet us near
Grasonville should call us at the number listed below. Waterfowl
migration is building with geese and dabblers now numerous and Ruddy
Ducks rising, we will also be on the lookout for gulls, herons, coots
and other water birds, as well as migrant songbirds such as sparrows and
finches. The long-range forecast for Sunday looks good although folks
might want to wear layers for a coolish start. Bring snacks and lunch.
