Evening all,
The RT Hummingbird that we've been seeing did not show up while I was watching this morning, though I had to leave early and the 4 dozen or so Pine Siskins were hogging the tree where the hummer usually perches. But just a few minutes ago, I was standing watching the dogwood tree and in flew the little guy! He perched there for several minutes, then flew in to feed, landing on a perch on the far side of the (Perky Pet 4 Fountains) feeder. He sat there either feeding or digesting for a full 6 minutes before flying off. I did not see him again, not in the dogwood. Supposed to be a cold night, so hope his meal sees him through it.
I shot some photos from severe angles through the kitchen window, and a couple of just his tail, looking through the side door (when he was on the far side of the feeder.)
