Hi everyone,
I birded Saddlebrook Community Park behind the Bowie Racetrack this morning before work and had some nice surprises. My favorite was a SEDGE WREN first heard calling from a small patch of grass growing up out of the asphalt in the Northwest corner of the northern most soccer field. This was easily the most cooperative Sedge Wren I have seen; it seemed just about as interested in me as I was in it, maybe I was the first human it had ever laid eyes on! Other than that, the sparrow count increased remarkably since my last visit on Friday and was highlighted by 5 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS, 9 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWs, 18 SWAMP SPARROWs, and 14 SONG SPARROWs. There is also a getting late BLUE GROSBEAK still hanging out.
