Thanks for the great reprot Mikey! I have been looking for a SEWR in this county for a couple years, especially the last ten days, mostly in good habitat areas along the Patuxent. I've never been to this park and went this morning to look. It was very birdy but I had no luck finding the SEWR. It was actually very cold (frost), and NOISY from vehicles for the first half hour I was there.

There is a contractor's staging area/equipment storage yard directly adjacent to the north end of the park. It had about 15 large tree maintenance trucks (chipper/trailer) and 5 pick-ups come out, driving along the edge of the field habitat one vehicle at a time anywhere from 1-2 minutes apart, and lasting 20-25minutes. The prolonged disturbance, and the cold may have caused the first half hour to be very quiet here. Right before I left activity exploded and birds were active all over.

The park has a very interesting mix of habitat and seems very good for sparrows and over-wintering species. I look forward to birding there again someday!
