Subject: [MDBirding] Garrett County ducks, Juncos, Kinglets, and Nuthatches


I made a visit to Garrett County this morning and found the following
of interest:

Finzel Swamp:
Wood Duck--25 circling and flying off. May have spent the night on the
beaver pond.
Swamp Sparrow--4
White-throated Sparrow--11
RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET--1
GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET--1
Cedar Waxwing--3
plus the usual Blue Jays, Chickadees, Robins, etc.

New Germany State Park, Orchard Trail:
Pied-billed Grebe--4
Common Raven--1 heard
RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH--6, but only 1 seen
GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET--1
DARK-EYED JUNCO--20, at least
White-throated Sparrow--3
plus usual suspects

Little Meadows Lake:
Canada Goose--100
RING-NECKED DUCK--33
RUDDY DUCK--11
Pied-billed Grebe--1
Killdeer--4
