Pine Siskins do indeed seem to be penetrating into the burbs. After single-digit counts every morning since Saturday, I logged 36 flying SW over the Wheaton Branch Stormwater Ponds this morning. American Robins and Cedar Waxwings were also on the move, with totals of 1050 and 164, respectively. All headed SW. Maybe they were taking the Beltway over to Chevy Chase ;)

Also two White-crowned Sparrows and a late Eastern Wood-Pewee.

Happy to report the Siskin invasion has finally reached the inner burbs. Six or eight at a time on my hulled sunflower seed feeder beginning about noon and continuing all afternoon.
