Subject: [MDBirding] Perryman Orange-crowned Warbler

Hi all,

I stopped by Perryman Park late this afternoon and had an Orange-crowned Warbler in the impoundment, along the southwest edge, in the weedy growth just in front of all the willows. If you go left off the ramp, the spot is about 25 yard before the path takes the bend to the right. It may well be the same bird I saw on 10/9...it was in the same spot. At one point it perched briefly in a willow right next to an adult White-crowned Sparrow. It tends to stay low in the weeds while it forages, then heads back into the willows out of sight. Still lots of sparrows in the impoundment, a lot of White-crowned among the scads of Songs and Swamps with a few Fields scattered about. Here's a link to a photo of the Orange-crowned: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27381338@N03/8123402103/ .
