Subject: [MDBirding] [MDBIRDING] Evening Grosbeak update

The bird was seen pretty much all day long by many (at least 25 birders by my count). It is a very cooperative bird and basically hangs around the feeder all day...either on the platform feeder or it is in the Honeylocust tree above the platform feeder eating buds or just resting right out in broad day light. When the light is good, it offers really nice photo opportunities and is often on the feeder with Purple Finches, House Finches, Golfinches, Doves, Downy's, Hairy's, Titmice, Chickadees, Nuthatches and/or Red-bellies at the same time. The contrast between it and them is quite nice. I saw the bird up to around 5:00 pm but then went on my roof with a leaf blower to clear out my gutters ahead of the storm and worked until dark. The bird was never bothered by any commotion during the day so if it hangs around overnight I would expect it to be seen again tomorrow.
