Christine,

The bird feeders at the visitors center at Black Hill RP held 6 or so Pine
Siskins on 10/21. Whether Evening Grosbeaks will find their way there over
next month or so is anyone's guess.

Some of the other nature centers in county also have feeders and may have
siskins or Purple Finches, RB nuthatches at this point in time as well. Go
to http://www.montgomeryparks.org/nature_centers/

I know Meadowside has a feeder spread.

Only other strategy I would mention is to check out a subdivision or
indvidual houses here or there for someone who might have the feeders in
front or somehow visible from the road, Along Rt 107 past Poolesville
there's a homeowner across from Trundle Rd and another at intersection with
Martinsburg Rd that have feeder spreads, I check occasionally when birding
out that way. There must be similar places all over the county.

Hope this helps,

Andy Martin
Gaithersburg
