I birded Piscataway Creek from the end of Wharf Road this morning. The highlight was seeing an American Golden-Plover out on the hydrilla. Waterfowl were present in abundance, with well over a thousand individuals, including ten species of ducks. Ruddy Ducks numbered the highest, around 550, followed by Gadwall at 250 birds. There were also an amazing 93 Pied-billed Grebes in the creek.
