Jane Kostenko and I went over to Solomons to see if Sandy brought any goodies. Nope. Hardly even any gulls there much less any jaegers or phalaropes. Would have tried the much preferred Pt. Lookout but Melissa Boyle, park ranger, said that there were lots of trees down (they recorded a gust of 74 mph at some point during the storm) and the park won't be open for days.
