They have taken over every feeder, deck rail and the deck itself and my usual regular birds look little put off. The Titmouse, chickadees, are pushing their way into the crowds of Siskins. The Cardinals and Doves kind of stare in disbelief that their food source has been taken over by other birds. The Carolina Wren will not come near the deck and stays near the woodpile. And the White Breasted Nuthatch looked a little mean pushing his beak toward a Siskin to make room. The one Junco and the one White-throated Sparrow must feel outnumbered and stay away from the deck and the feeders. And the Mockingbird ignores them all and still goes after the leftover pokeberries. The Pine Siskins do make room when the RedBellied Woodie and the Bluejays show up, but they come right back and take over. So this is a report on the battle at the feeders. Happy Birding.

Sorry, I forgot to mention the 3-4 Purple Finches that manage to squeeze their way onto my feeders.
