Subject: [MDBirding] Purple Finch, Annapolis

Got a note today from Amanda who was working at home that there was an adult male Purple Finch at our feeder in Eastport today. This is the first one of the year for us and only second for the yard in our three years here. I was able to go home at lunch and take a look myself, which was quite nice. Also present were small flocks of Juncos, W.T. Sparrows, Song Sparrows, Cardinals, Goldfinches, House Finches, Mo. Doves, and a few Co. Grackles.

On another topic, if anyone else tries for the Red Phalaropes at Conowingo Lake, I would be very interested in hearing about it (positive or negative), I can't go up until Sunday but will if they are still around. Ditto for the BHGU or of course the BTGU.
