Subject: [MDBirding] Conowingo Lake - Cecil County

I went back up to Conowingo today hoping the Franklin's Gull or Red-necked Grebes would make an appearance. That didn't happen, though. However, five Red Phalaropes were still picking at the edge of the detritus mat right up against the dam. Further up the tracks at the siren mount, I picked out a Common Tern and some Bonaparte's Gulls feeding with a horde of Forster's Terns.

I parked on 222 just south of Rt 1 and walked up the RR tracks for viewing access above the dam. If you're going to look from the siren mount, you might want ear plugs.
