Subject: [MDBirding] Purple Finches, Pine Siskins, Fox Sparrows near Lake Elkhorn in Columbia

On a morning walk from Brush Run(street)to Lake Elkhorn (11/3) there were lots of birds. I saw my first Fox Sparrows of the fall near the power line cut downhill from Brush Run. There were Purple Finches eating Tulip Tree seeds and more, including an adult male, at the feeders by the bridge at the upper end of Lake Elkhorn. A half dozen Pine Siskins were also at these feeders and a flock of about 15 was nearby. Also had a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 3 phoebes, 2 Chipping Sparrows and a Winter Wren.
