I was out looking unsuccessfully for Cave Swallow this morning, but did have an adult male Red Crossbill flyover while talking with John Gallo in the gardens of Swan Harbor.
Other interesting birds there today were:
Gambel's-type White-crowned Sparrow in the new impoundment
2 Vesper Sparrows in the cornfield just east of the marshy impoundment
Lincoln's Sparrow in the marshy impoundment
Marsh Wren in the marshy impoundment
Good birding!
