Hi Everyone,
I had a very productive couple walks at Fort Smallwood Park this morning (11/4). The effects of Hurricane Sandy are apparent here, with several species I infrequently encounter locally and a surprising THREE new species for me at the park. Highlights were BROWN PELICAN, GREAT CORMORANT, SURF SCOTERs (4), BLACK SCOTER, many LAUGHING GULLs, and a late LINCOLN'S SPARROW.

Good birding!
