Subject: [MDBirding] We are the Siskin

Resistance is futile!

Currently we have a nice (if modest) list for the yard over the past few days, and the Pine siskins are eating us out of house and home. 100 or so right now. There have been more.

In no particular taxonomic order:

Turkey vulture
Red - shouldered hawk
American crow
Common raven
Blue jay +++
Northern flicker
Red - bellied woodpecker
Downy woodpecker
Carolina wren
Carolina chickadee
Black - capped chickadee (trust me I know Chickadees)
Tufted titmouse
Ruby - crowned kinglet
Red - breasted nuthatch
White - breasted nuthatch
American goldfinch +++
Pine Siskin +++
Purple finch
House finch
Eastern towhee
Dark - eyed junco +++
White - throated sparrow +++
Fox sparrow
Song sparrow
House sparrow
