Hi all. Apologies for the late post. After closer viewing of my photographs from Saturday at Conowingo Dam and conferring with Jim Stasz and Kevin Graff, Lisa and I are withdrawing our report of a Franklin's Gull. It was merely an exceptionally good looking Laughing Gull!!
Sorry for the bad info. It's a good reminder of the necessity of making one's own IDs and not letting peer pressure from other birders, in this case a visitor from out of state, push you to make a call.
At last we got the Red Phalaropes!!
