Hi All,
While overall, songbird numbers were way down today, there was a single VESPER SPARROW near the Boat Lake. Was feeding on the grassy lawn between the lake and the playground, then picked up and flew towards the lake when some people passed by it. It disappeared into an area of slightly higher grass and brush and I couldn't relocate it. Before it decided to hide it was actually pretty cooperative, giving good views of the white eyering and the white tail edges.
