When I was looking for the best bins for the buck - under $200 - someone suggested looking at the Alpen line. I was able to get several in my price in my hands at a Wild Bird Center, and just loved 2 of them. I bought one, and have been very happy!

I always suggest to people to check out Eagle Optics, online. They have an
enormous amount of information regarding binoculars (and birding binoculars
too), and maybe even give them a call. They are very helpful, and can fit you
with just what you are looking for. Excellent service too.
