Subject: [MDBirding] Bhutan at the Kent County Bird Club meeting, Tuesday, 13 November

Dear KCBC members and friends,

The monthly meeting of the Kent County Bird Club will be held Tuesday,
November 13 at Heron Point in Chestertown, and will feature a program
called "Birding In the Land of the Thunder Dragon --Bhutan"The Himalayan
kingdom of Bhutan is one of the world's premier birding destinations,
both for its variety of superb species and its enlightened environmental
policies that have protected the extensive forests and their wildlife.
Only open to tourism since 1979, Bhutan welcomes birders and other
lovers of natural beauty. Gail Mackiernan and friends traveled to Bhutan
in 2005 and 2010, and Gail will share their birding experiences in her
presentation. We hope you can join us for the meeting and light
refreshments afterwards.

Our meetings begin at 7:30 PM in Wesley Hall, in the Heron Point
community at the end of East Campus Ave in Chestertown. East Campus Ave
is the light on Washington Ave (MD-213) at the south edge of the
Washington College campus. If headed north, turn right, if headed south,
turn left off of Washington Ave. Follow East Campus Ave to the Heron
Point community and bear right on Sassafras Dr, continuing to the large
parking lot at the end. Wesley Hall is upstairs in the building on your
right as you enter the parking area; enter through the large portico.

Thank you,

Nancy Martin, President

Observing Nature is like unwrapping a big pile of presents every time
you take a walk.
