It's been a good last week around my house, which is in Silver Spring, near the intersection of Colesville Rd and Sligo Creek Pkwy just inside the Beltway. In the past week (and despite not having much time to watch the yard), I've had Fox sparrow (1), Purple finch (2), Pine siskin (~12), and Red-breasted nuthatch (1). RBNU was a new yard bird. It's certainly shaping up to be an exciting winter.
