I'm with Mark H. on this one. The bird had already been reported on the list, including the full species name and full name of the location. All you had to do was look back if you couldn't decipher the abbreviations. (And his post said the bird "continues"--so you'd know it was posted about before.) Mark was doing everyone a favor by taking the time to let us know the bird was still there. Let's not start making reporting on this list more cumbersome than it needs to be. With facebook and twitter feeds competing for bird postings, we don't need to set up deterrents to discourage people from posting here.
