Red-throated Loon would be my guess...can't think of anything else that would fit.

Hi all. Yesterday I was out birding Cape Henlopen and decided to move farther south as the day progressed. I finished the day in Ocean City where i saw a flock of these birds heading south quite a way off shore. The only bird that comes to mind here is Black-necked Stilt, but I haven't seen them at Bombay Hook in a while. They also did not appear to have black nape and crown. There were at least 10 of them and there was no formation to the flock. They weren't flying high but they weren't hugging the ocean's surface either. Photos have been cropped and sharpened one click. http://www.flickr.com/photos/75557613@N08/8180385546/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/75557613@N08/8180385652/in/photostream/
I'm also curious if anyone sees anything other than Scaup in these pictures. I think I might have a Black Scoter, but I'm not sure. http://www.flickr.com/photos/75557613@N08/8180351667/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/75557613@N08/8180385850/in/photostream/
Thank you all for your consideration. Joshua Emm Havre de Grace, MD
