Subject: [MDBirding] Lesser Black-backed Gull, Bladensburg Waterfront Park, Prince George's County, 11/13

During my lunch break, I headed over to Bladensburg Waterfront Park where I
found a Lesser Black-backed Gull hanging out on the mud just north of the
marina. There were a good number of gulls (mostly Herring) in general,
coming to rest on the flats at lowtide.

It was also interesting to watch two Fish Crows harass a Belted Kingfisher.
I have no idea why they were doing it, since the Kingfisher didn't have any
food. Maybe it was their form of entertainment. They regularly took swipes
at the Kingfisher, which was taking acrobatic evasive maneuvers, often
coming into contact with the water.
