OK a few days ago I joked that we needed to think really big and maybe we'd see a Pine Grosbeak in Maryland this winter -- since there is a large irruption of this species in Maine and some other NE states. Well, the Central PA RBA just reported a group of six Pine Grosbeaks seen in Clinton Co., in the NE part of the state but still a heck of a lot further south than Maine!
Maybe another nice strong cold front?? (They like crabapples, btw.)
