Subject: [MDBirding] Upper Bay Waters Today

Today for work, I was out on the water traveling from Kent Narrows north to Tolchester, west to the mouth of the Patapsco, south to just below the bay bridge, and back to Kent Narrows. There were actually not very many birds around but highlights included a Brown Pelican in Kent Co. waters at the mouth of the Chester River on the north shore (NW of Eastern Neck Is.), 4 Brown Pelicans in AA Co. and at least 14 perched on bay bridge footings on the QA Co. side. I also had my first Long-tailed Ducks of the season but only about a dozen. A few dozen Buffleheads, a couple Common Loons, a few Forster's Terns, a few Bald Eagles, a couple hundred D.-c. Cormorants and Canada Geese, and the usual gulls rounded out the list.
