Today I had a rare opportunity to volunteer with the USFWS crew out at Poplar Island. Highlights included a Peregrine, Short-eared Owl, 21 Snow Buntings, 3 Long-billed Dowitchers, and nearly 90 Brown Pelicans on the nearby Jefferson Island dock. Also had Norther Gannets in both Talbot and QA counties on the boat ride out plus three bald eagles not in the list below.
