Dan Small and I birded in Worcester County today, hoping that Assateague Island would have crossbills and Cave Swallows. We struck out on these birds, but our consolation prize was a Common Redpoll in the area immediately south of the parking lot for the state park. Earlier in the day, the previously reported Western Kingbird was again on the fence of the Ocean City airport on Rt 611.
