Subject: [MDBirding] Tundra Swan (25) - Mattawoman Creek (17-Nov-2012)


While kayakying At Mattawoman Creek yesterday, we sighted:

- 25 Tundra Swan (flying towards Potomac/Pohick Bay/Mason Neck)
- 100's of migrant Canadian Geese
- >1000 Mallards
- 9 Buffleheads
- 3 pairs of Wood Ducks
- 2 Great Egrets
- 1 Juvenile Bald Eagle
- 1 pair Hawk sp (likely Broadwings)
- 1 Kingfisher
- 12+ Great Blue Herons
- 1 Nuthatch
- heard 1 Red-Shouldered Hawk
- 16 Double-crested Cormorrants
