Tyler Bell and I decided to try our luck at Point Lookout State Park after Mikey's reported Red Crossbill and Evening Grosbeak. Alas, we were only able to find the grosbeaks, but had great looks in a puddle of water in the NE corner of the earthen fort. Lots of birds were moving around (Cedar Waxwings, Brown Creepers, Brown-headed Nuthatches, Yellow-rumped Warblers), but we neither heard nor saw either species of crossbills.
