Lisa and I decided to run down to Ft. McHenry this afternoon to try for the Snow Bunting. We fully expected that we were a day too late, but there it was in its normal location near the cannons. It flushed from the short grass between the macadam path and the seawall landing about 6 feet in front of us. There it gave great views until it dropped down onto the rocks just below the seawall. We watched it for at least 15 minutes around 3 pm before moving on to other birds. On the way home we made a very brief stop at Druid Ridge Cemetery to try for the White-winged Crossbills reported there recently but had no luck.
