I made a last minute detour on my way in to work this morning. Drove through the Twin Shields Golf Course parking lot to check out the Norway Spruces there for either crossbill. Saw a male Northern Cardinal in a spruce that got my pulse going but came away with nada. As I was walking back to the car, a flock of about a dozen White-winged Crossbills flew over calling but didn't stop at the line of spruce trees on the north side of the parking lot. They kept flying north. This location hosted WWCRs during the last irruption and is as far north as you can get in Calvert before crossing into Anne Arundel. Still managed to get to work at 8:30!
