Hi all,
The Kent County Bird Club will have a trip to various waterfowl venues in the county including several public landings in search of ducks and geese on Sunday, November 18. Waterfowl numbers seem to have been building somewhat slowly this autumn, although dabblers and bay ducks are scattered in usual locations and some sizable flocks of Snow Geese arrived last week. We saw our first Tundra Swans of the season this morning in a farm pond along Flatland Road, so there is potential for good diversity on Sunday.
We will meet folks in the parking lot of the Dollar General store between Washington Ave (MD-213) and Philosopher's Terrace in Chestertown at 8:00 AM. We expect this to be a little over a half day's outing. At this point, Sunday is slated to be mostly cloudy with temperatures near 50. Wear layers and bring a snack. We hope to see you on Sunday morning.
Good birding,
