Subject: News Release - Blackwater NWR Closure of portions of Wildlife Drive

If any of you are planning a trip to Blackwater
during the holiday or the immediate future, you should be aware of the closure
of portions of the drive for approximatly the next two weeks. Blackwater was
only notified this morning by the construction people. Not much
notice!

Blackwater National
Wildlife Refuge Closing Portions of Wildlife Drive
Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge will be
resurfacing large portions of the Wildlife Drive beginning November 21, 2012.
The project is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. During this
time refuge staff will keep as much of the drive open to the public as possible.
However, on Nov. 26thand Nov.
30th, due to the quota shotgun hunt, the entire
Wildlife Drive will be closed. Entrance fees will not be collected for the
duration of the closure. For project updates, please call 410-228-2677. We
regret any inconvenience this may cause.
