Hey everyone,
Today John Hubbel, Dan Small, and myself spent most of the day birding in Baltimore and Carroll Counties. Highlights include a single flyover Red Crossbill at the Loch Raven Skeet Shooting Range (Baltimore Co.) around 7:20am. We were unable to secure any recordings. In Millers (Carroll Co.) along Millers Station Rd we found a patch of cone heavy spruce that held seven female Red Crossbills. They never vocalized and flew off to the northwest. At Cranberry Reservoir (Carroll Co.) we had Canada Geese, Green-winged Teal, Mallard, Black Duck, Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, and Hooded Mergansers.
