I don't think review of PA flagged birds is any faster than MD - for example I reported 30 WW Crossbills at a continuing site in Wash County over 36 hours ago and they still haven't been confirmed even though I have pics embedded in my checklist. Its not a big deal. Our MD reviewers do a terrific job! Be patient with them...

I realize there are lots of data, but certainly PA also has a lot of sightings to review as well and yet their records were mapped and I received an email from the Central PA bird alert compiler today. The number of high quality digital photos should also help speed up the review process.

I don't like having records rejected either and I realize that not all my sightings will qualify--I try to add probable etc when I am not completely sure but would like others to know of a potential record. I am also not able to take good digital photos so must rely on written reports. I've purchased a better camera and look forward to learning the how-to when I retire which is in only 2 weeks :)

The most recent example is of crossbills and ravens I saw in PA from the last 2 days are mapped but the Maryland crossbills along with other sightings from mid-November are still missing. On a 2010 record that was questionable as to species I never heard anything from the local ebird personnel--I did receive a note from Marshall Iliff after I sent a recent inquiry (2012) to the ebird main site.
