Subject: [MDBirding] DC - West Potomac Park to Hain's Point (11-28)

Chris Tonra, Tim Guida, and I did a quick lunch run along the Potomac River in DC. All of the Horned Grebes and the Long-tailed Duck reported yesterday seemingly vacated the area overnight and the river was very quiet overall. The following were some highlights (nearly all waterfowl were southeast off of the tip of Hain's Point):

Lesser Scaup - 220
Bufflehead - 5
Red-breasted Merganser - 1
Ruddy Duck - 1
Pied-billed Grebe - 5 (Tidal Basin)
Merlin - 1 (perched and hunting at the point)
