Thanks Jared,

I agree it's great people feel comfortable enough to discuss not only what we see but how we bird and how we report here and on eBird.� My only suggestion is to make sure we assume goodwill and intentions by others.� I think the vast majority of posters do, but if some people fail to do this, let's just try to ignore these types of posts.

I'm glad as a group we are can work through so many of these thorny issues together and that both sides of the discussion are heard. I just want to remind everyone that with the very sensitive nature of these discussions, it is important to remember to be respectful and civil in your postings. Also, keep in mind that any message you send is archived indefinitely on about 4 or 5 different places on the internet and visible to anyone whether they are on the list or not. With this in mind, I would advise everyone to be respectful not just of other birders on the list, but to the general public as well. Thanks for understanding,�
