I went out to Harrison and Belvoir Roads in Fauquier county this afternoon.
About 4:50, I had one short-eared owl flying and perching in the field south of Harrison Road.
Also a couple of Red-tailed Hawks, a couple of Northern Harriers, and an adult Bald Eagle.
On the pond on Belvoir road there were a few Ruddy ducks, and several Hooded Mergansers.
The most interesting thing was some guy flying a model airplane over the fields.
