Here is a rare December find!
A co-worker of a birder asked for help in identifying a bird coming to their suet feeder and other feeders. It is a female Summer Tanager. The bird has apparently been in the area more than a week coming to the suet intermittently. It was seen this morning by at least 11 birders. Because the rear of the house can be seen from a Columbia Association paved path, there is no access problem although the entrance from a cul de sac could limit parking close to the location.
The address is 6094 Sebring Drive. Go to the end of Sebring Drive (a cul de sac) to access a paved path. Go straight in toward the tot lot, then turn left on the path which will enable you to see the back of the house and the feeder.
One of the ways to access Sebring Drive is from US29 to Broken Land Parkway west; left on Hickory Ridge Rd; left on Martin Rd; left on Owen Brown Rd (east toward US29); and left on Sebring Dr.

There was also a Black-capped Chickadee in their yard.
