Greetings,
The days are flying by and the annual Lower Kent County Christmas Bird Count is just about one week away, on Sunday, 16 December. We have most of our regular observers lined up, but would welcome additional participants who would like to spend a day on the Eastern Shore counting geese, eagles, sparrows and other feathered friends. With this autumn's influx of northern finches (siskins, purples & crossbills) and Red-breasted Nuthatches, it looks like this could be an interesting count year. The big news from National Audubon is that they have discontinued the $5 participant fee, which will slow the economic drain for those of us who do multiple counts!
Please contact me if you are interested in joining us.
Thanks,
Nancy Martin
