Hi all,
I just finished up birding Swan Harbor Farm in Harford County today. I couldn't have asked for a better day. No clouds or wind and a ton of birds. I walked up to the first impoundment hoping to get the Orange-crowned Warbler. Instead I was readily greeted by the late Yellow Warbler. I got to watch him for about 5 mins and then he disappeared. I walked the impoundment hoping for the Orange-crowned with no success. When I returned to boggy area where the Yellow Warbler had been, a beautiful American Tree Sparrow hopped out of the brush and started bathing. Afterwards, I proceeded to walk down the fishing pier and scoped a whole mess of Tundra Swans close to Cecil Co. I scoped a raft of Ruddy Duck and found 20 Canvasbacks too.
What a great day :-)
Here's my checklist from the day with pictures of the Yellow warbler and American Tree Sparrow.
